SAT 21st APRIL 2018 !!!

School workshops have been taking place in Derby schools over the last four years in Maypole Dancing, Mumming Plays, Broom Dancing and Singing in preparation…….this year we are also teaching Sword Dancing and working with new partners in the community such as Volunteer Carers and Young Adults with Learning Difficulties

St George’s Day Celebrations in Derby:

The collaboration of Derby LIVE and FOLK 3D has culminated in a massive event each year, for the past 6 years, in the centre of Derby city in honour of St George’s Day.  Approximately 10,000 people each year took part in / passed through the event on the Market Square, where there have been displays of Morris, Sword, Clog, Broom and Maypole Dancing.  This year is no different – you can expect:

Processional Dancing down to the Market Square, for all to take part in:
