St George’s Day


SAT 22nd APRIL 2017 !!!

School workshops have been taking place in Derby schools over the last four years in Maypole Dancing, Mumming Plays, Broom Dancing and Singing in preparation…….

20/4/13, 26/4/14, 18/4/15 and 23/4/16 – St George’s Day Celebrations in Derby:

The collaboration of DerbyLIVE and FOLK 3D culminated in a massive event in the centre of Derby city in honour of St George’s Day.  Approximately 10,000 people each year took part in / passed through the event on the Market Square, where there have been displays of Morris, Sword, Clog, Broom and Maypole Dancing.  This year is no different – you can expect:
